To get notifications directly in Boxy for Gmail, you need to enable desktop notifications in Gmail's settings. This will give you notifications for the account you have currently open. This feature relies on browser notifications, so the experience should be similar to the one you have when you enable desktop notifications in Chrome or similar browsers.
Similarly to Gmail, you need to enable notifications in the Calendar account settings. With this method you will only get notifications for the events of your currently open account. If this is a problem and you have multiple Google Calendar accounts you want notifications from, we advise you to use Boxy Dashboard as explained above.
